Dear Excelsior Springs School Community:

Hello!  I’m very excited to be joining the Excelsior Springs School District for the upcoming school year.  I appreciate the opportunity to work in an excellent school district and will be deeply committed to the talented staff, students, and parents of Westview Elementary.  I’m a very dedicated school leader who supports innovation for quality learning.  I plan to focus on strengthening the climate and culture with my high energy and positive outlook, all while maintaining quality instruction and responsibility of transforming students into lifelong learners.  It is best for students to have a well-rounded education which includes learning the basic fundamentals in all classes. Education is continually changing and it is important for me as an administrator to continue educating myself to help educate future teachers and create a safe, positive, and successful school. As an administrator I strive to assess, develop and monitor a safe-school plan.  I feel in being a successful building administrator, promoting success of all students and staff, I must provide a nurturing environment for student’s and staff’s professional growth.  It is my passion to create a supportive and trusting environment that includes open communication with all stakeholders.

On a personal note, I am a mother to three beautiful children, who are at the heart of every decision I make. My oldest daughter Brice, is 10 and has a love for arts, reading and dancing. My middle daughter Averi, is 7 years old. She is spunky and has a love for “Spiderman”. My youngest is 5 years old and he is a high energy typical boy.  He is always smiling and just loves life.  I am a Northwest Missouri State graduate and we love our Bearcats! Currently I’m working on my Doctorate and plan to be finished the spring of 2019.

I am thrilled to be joining an educational environment that whether academically, athletically, or in the arts, everyone is showing care and well-being for the kids.  I feel honored to help a community building to be filled with students who are excited that staff provides an opportunity to explore, follow their dreams, and to be successful, and to grow.

In closing, you will learn that I am fun, energetic and an easily approachable person.  I plan to be visible in our building and community.  I am very excited for what lies ahead!

Go Tigers!
